On a recent evening, members of the Mount Kisco Rotary Club came together to lend a helping hand in support of the Emergency Shelter Partnership Program at St. Francis of Assisi.

This initiative, aimed at providing assistance to those in need, saw Rotary members volunteering their time to bring and serve meals.

The Rotary's involvement was a testament to their ongoing commitment to serving the community. Their efforts played a vital role in ensuring that the individuals and families utilizing the shelter received both nourishment and support, especially during the colder months when the need is greatest.

Dan Taplitz, President of the Mount Kisco Rotary Club, shared, “It was our club’s way of doing a small part in making a difference for those in need. Every little bit helps, and we’re proud to contribute to such an important cause in our community.”

This partnership between the Mount Kisco Rotary and St. Francis of Assisi exemplifies the power of local organizations coming together to address pressing community issues.

With their continued dedication, the Rotary Club is helping to make a significant difference in the lives of many, providing a sense of hope and support to individuals facing difficult circumstances.

The Emergency Shelter Partnership is a registered 501(c)3 organization (EIN # 45-4063922) in Northern Westchester County, NY which provides short-term, emergency shelter for those who need shelter during the coldest five months of the winter.

We are a coalition of interfaith congregations that operate in two separate, but similar areas. Our East area covers Armonk, Bedford, Chappaqua, Katonah and Mt. Kisco; our West area covers Briarcliff, Croton, Ossining, Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.

We provide overnight shelter and warm nutritious meals to homeless adults during the coldest months of the year. We are joined in this effort by community organizations that provide a variety of support services to shelter participants.
